Are you thinking of hanging your tv on the wall,most people do these days well im going to give you some good advice before you start so it makes the process a little easier for you hopefully.First of i have intalled hundreds of lcd tvs so i know a little about it.if your even a little unsure of how to do it get proffessional advice,from a local engineer.

1. plan out the installation (draw a diagram) make sure you know what equipment and leads you have and what cabling you need to fix to your dvd players and cinema systems (hdni leads scart cables aerial freesat power )
2. try and work out how you will hide the cabling this is the most important part it will make your installation look great,can you channel the wall out or is it a cavity wall in which case you can run the cabling behind the stud wall,or maybe you will use trunking to hide the cabling which ever you choose work it out thouroughly before hand.
3. equipment were will it go when the tv is on the wall you dont want it looking a mess (think abou this one and make sure your cabling is long enough to reach from the tv to the stand or bracket your equipment is on
4. make sure you hang the tv at the correct height dont put it too high some lcd have bad viewing angles so be carefull
5. centralise the tv on the wall and always use a spirit level to get your bracket straight
6. check fixings are in correct on the tv itself nice and tight before hanging
7. dont lift the tv on your own you will damage it.
